Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Allied Health Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ARRT (R), RCIS preferred Must-Have: - Experience in setting up sterile tables and scrubbing for coronary angiograms and interventions. - Competence in managing access sites, including groin and radial access. - Knowledge and skills with atherectomy devices. - Experience with Impella and IABP devices. Description: The Cath Lab Technologist will be responsible for scrubbing all cases alongside the physician. There is an opportunity to circulate cases as needed. The technologist will function as both a circulator and a scrub tech. Experience in managing groin access and other access sites is essential. The role involves knowledge of various cardiology procedures, including PCI, diagnostic caths, and device implants. Proficiency in peripheral and interventional radiology cases is required. The technologist can expect to handle 5-10 cases per day on average. On-call duties require availability every fourth day, including weekends. There is also expectation for participation in holiday shifts. The technologist should be familiar with EMR systems and equipment used in the lab. The role does not require floating to other units or departments. Scrubs will be supplied by the department.
