Job Description:

NAVIS is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) position in beautiful Bend, Oregon! This role will be an integral part of our growing Sales organization.

This position is responsible for the generation and development of new, qualified prospects, working in tandem with our Territory Sales Consultants for seamless hand-off into the Discovery Meeting stage of the NAVIS Consultative Selling process. Additionally, you will be providing valuable research and call plan creation for the sales department.

Sales Development Duties (70% of the job):


  • Identify and develop new clients through ethical sales methods and relevant relationships in partnership with Territory Sales Consultants
  • Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and prospect contact towards achieving agreed business objectives, including costs and sales while also managing personal time and productivity
  • Plan and manage business portfolio/territory according to NAVIS Consultative Selling strategy
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, including, but not limited to Microsoft office suite, Salesforce (SFDC) and Enterprise, and update/keep relevant information held in these systems
  • Plan, carry out and support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing
  • Respond to and follow up on sales inquiries using appropriate methods
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
  • Record, analyze, report and administer according to systems and requirements

    Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
  • Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills

    Sales Research Duties (30% of the job):


    • Research and verify key decision makers, stakeholders, and information about prospects such as ADR, reservation services, marketing efforts, leisure / corporate / group business percentages, seasonality, etc. to assist sales department prospecting efforts
    • Research and prepare call plans for Sales Consultants
    • Thoroughly and accurately record data in our SalesForce.com (SFDC) CRM tool
    • Take part in sales and operational planning meetings to resolve any questions regarding the data you have gathered and analyzed, its interpretation within the sales team, and to aid in reaching service objectives for key prospective clients
    • Validate potential prospect lists, add new prospects to our database and verify accuracy of information
    • Partner with the Marketing team, as needed
    • Be the central point of contact for various sales teams when it comes to client research and analysis
    • Utilize SalesForce.com to capture and store research information

      COMPENSATION:

      This position pays a competitive base rate PLUS commissions on your individual results, AND an annual performance bonus based on your accomplishments against your goals as well as the Company's overall achievements.

      POSITION LOCATION:

      This position MUST be based in Bend, Oregon.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      You should have at least ONE of the following:


      • Previous outbound sales experience
      • Consultative, and/or technology sales experience
      • Hospitality experience

          Communications Skills:


          • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills
          • Possess excellent telephone etiquette
          • Ability to answer client's questions and successfully resolve issues and/or negotiate matters related to client's business problems/objectives
          • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business contracts
          • The ability to professionally overcome client objections through a consultative sales approach
          • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from prospective clients
          • Must maintain clear and concise documentation and positive approach to the continued communication between prospect and Territory System Consultants
          • Must be able to self-manage to achieve predefined goals on a consistent basis


            Computer Skills:


            • Ability to learn and effectively use a CRM, such as SalesForce, to maintain and continue communication
            • Thorough knowledge of MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer, etc.)
            • Possess the ability to multi-task in multiple software systems (Salesforce (SFDC), Narrowcast, Enterprise, Outlook, Communicator, etc.)
