We are seeking a full time Maintenance Technician Level 1 for our front-end night shift (2:30PM - 3:00AM, Sunday through Tuesday). This individual would work closely with the front-end night shift production team and report to the Maintenance Manager. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES + On-shift production support. + Compliance with safety regulations and maintenance of a clean and orderly work area. + Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment. + Provide corrective repair of production equipment during production hours including scheduled maintenance repair of production equipment during machine service. + Ability to understand, maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC motors, generators and associated machine controls including programmable controllers, computers and electronics used in a manufacturing environment. Diagnose and repair issues with motors, controllers, PLCs by applying sound and generally accepted troubleshooting principles and techniques. + Provide PLC programming support (troubleshooting and upgrading) + Run conduit and wire/rewire systems + Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings + Use a variety of hand, machining, fabrication and power tools, including but not limited to: volt meters, grinders, drills, manual mills and lathes, GWAW & GTAW welders, band saws. + Participate in and support continuous improvement activities. + Complete special projects as assigned. + Document work as appropriate. MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS and/or EXPERIENCE + AAS degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance with a minimum of 1 year of directly related industrial maintenance with electrical experience is required, or high school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship with 2 years related experience, or 4 years of production maintenance experience. + Electrical License (LME, MPE, Journeyman Card) strongly preferred + Experience with VFD, motors, controllers, PLCs, blueprints, schematics, ladder logic and FBD programmed platforms. + Thorough knowledge in test equipment, measuring systems, and familiarity with mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems. + Ability to create electrical schematics and mechanical drawings + Ability to operate hoists, cranes, and metalworking tools and work off ladders, scaffolds, or lifts as required in a safe manner. + Strong mathematical skills, with proven ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics, procedures and diagrams. + Superior communication skills. + Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. + Ability to properly lift a minimum of 75lbs. with assistance. + Knowledgeable in lock out/tag out procedures.
