The Lift Construction position is a full-time, seasonal position
that works alongside and assists the Site Manager, Lift Maintenance
Supervisors, and installation crew in all aspects of aerial lift
installation and testing. They must be able to work as a team with
a high level of performance under stringent time constraints and
work throughout the day with little direct supervision. This
includes the ability to be self-sufficient with supplying your own
food and water due to remote work locations. The position also
demands extended periods of time working in varied and primarily
inclement weather conditions, working at heights greater than 20
feet, as well as being able work safely around heavy equipment and
rotating machinery that is in operation. This position could
potentially lead to but does not guarantee a position as a Lift
Mechanic.
The work schedule for this position is 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, 6 days a
week.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
* Work schedule is 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM - 6 days a week: 10+- hours
per day.
* Possess a minimum 10-hour OSHA General Industry and Construction
Certification.
* Perform daily safety and equipment checks.
* Climb ladders and work at height while adhering to mandatory fall
protection procedures.
* Properly use and maintain PPE, provided to you: Leather Gloves,
Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Helmet, Face Shield, and
Climbing Harness when required.
* Basic rigging skills including the use of endless loop slings,
wire ropes, chains, chain binders, and other rigging equipment.
* Ability to use auto and laser levels for checking elevations.
* Basic Millwright skills in the use of hand tools, power tools,
torque wrenches, and chain hoists.
* Basic carpentry skills related to concrete formwork, rebar
assembly and concrete placement.
* Keep clean and maintain various machinery, equipment, and tools
as necessary.
* Ability to read and understand foundation drawings, assembly
drawings, and parts lists.
* Perform some basic lift maintenance tasks under the supervision
of or by the instruction of a Lift Mechanic.
* Navigate and travel safely driving on mountain roads utilizing
snow vehicles, 3/4 ton 4-wheel drive trucks towing tandem axle
trailers, forklifts, and side-by-side utility vehicles.
* Possess clothing and footwear for working in all weather
conditions in mountain terrain.
* Able to work and travel by foot on uneven and unsettled
mountainous terrain for extended distances.

Specific Job Skills:
License/Certifications- Current and valid Driver's License.
Technical- Basic machinery operation; industrial safety guidelines
and procedures; mechanical familiarity.
Physical Capabilities- Climb tower and terminal ladders; climb on,
over, and around structural elements; work with hand tools and
power tools; perform necessary work functions while wearing a full
body harness or other personal protective equipment; walk on uneven
or irregular surfaces; work in extreme temps.
Additional- Communicate clearly and effectively using radio
communications, and hazard recognition.
Education/Related Experience:
Minimum education required- High School Diploma and 18 years of
age
Minimum time in related position- 6 months mechanical experience:
Safely working around heavy equipment, Experience working on
construction job site, Outdoor industrial environment .

conditions, and work in high noise-level environments.
