Job DescriptionSafety Professional – Variable HourWorldwide Safety Professionals, a subsidiary of Medcor, is seeking a Safety Professional for a construction project in Prineville, OR starting ASAP. Our client is building a data center. The project is expected to work 40-60 hours/week for approximately 6-12 months. Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of Safety experience and prior data center experience to be considered. The per diem for the project is $125/day paid 7 days/week.

The function of the Safety Professional is to consult with contractors and clients and provide recommendations to eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations which may lead to human injury and/or property damage. Must apply safety principles, standards, practices, and analytical techniques. OSHA record-keeping and general administrative duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Develop positive professional relationships while working closely with field personnel, all levels of management and outside agencies during all phases of construction.
• Coordinate and conduct audits of all crews to identify areas for improvement of unsafe work conditions and practices and recognize those for safe work practices.
• Document and communicate site audit information.
• Audit training records of all field personnel.
• Implement all federal, local, and site programs, policies, and procedures.
• Receive, review, and participate with the development of accident briefs, safety-related publications, bulletins, and reports.
• Participate with the development of Site-Specific Safety Plans and kick off/safety meetings
• Review client/owner specific requirements and determine our client complies.MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Current CPR / First Aid Card Required
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Required
  • CHST, OSHA 500 Preferred
  • Relevant safety experience requiredCOMPUTER SKILLS:Ability to perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets as necessary. Also, access and use the Internet and E-mail.
    
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to stand, bend, squat, sit demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see. On occasion, may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus.
