Job DescriptionThe police officers responsibilities are to preserve public peace, protect life and property, prevent crime, arrest violators, and use proper enforcement of all laws and ordinances within the boundaries of the warm Springs Reservation. Provide deterrence, detection and investigation of crimes and apprehension of criminal suspects. Patrol assigned areas to prevent crime and enforce Federal, State and Tribal laws and regulations. Respond to radio message, telephone instructions, and citizen requests for assistance at scenes of disorder or crime. Administer first aid as needed. Other duties as assigned. RequirementsApplicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and must pass ORPAT and POST tests. Pass DPSST physical standards and attend DPSST academy and complete successfully within an acceptable period of time. Physical exam is required and must submit to a pre-employment drug screen. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Oregon Drivers License. Applicant must have no felonies, domestic violence convictions, and no misdemeanor convictions within one year of employment.
