Job Description The HR Generalist will demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, good judgment, and collaboration supporting the HR Manager and plant personnel with HR-related matters. The Generalist will work closely with employees, managers, and senior leaders of the organization. The ideal candidate understands and has appreciation for the contribution of every employee to the company's vision and excellence in execution.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclusion & Engagement

  • Using best business judgment, oversee employee relations matters, including employee recognition programs, disciplinary matters, performance improvement plans, and exit interviews
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
  • Manages employee communication channels, including electronic monitors, weekly employee meetings, quarterly business updates, and mass text notification system
  • Lead the development and execution of Community Outreach and DEI initiatives requiring constant communication with internal external organizationsAdministration
    • Responsible for the full-scope recruitment of hourly employees from posting to onboarding; assists with salaried recruiting
    • Participate in the design, development and updating of policies and procedures
    • Maintain records for mandatory training, continuing education, tuition reimbursement, and disciplinary documentation
    • Benefit administration to include new hire enrollment; open enrollment; change reporting; and invoice review and approval
    • Conducts new employee orientation and onboarding
    • Maintains HRIS records and compiles reports as needed
    • Maintains personnel files, medical files, and training records in compliance with applicable legal requirements
    • Performs other duties as assignedCompliance
      • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures
      • Monitors FMLA and other leaves of absence
      • Supports operations by attending line walks, conducting safety inspections and 6S initiatives
      • Participates in the development and administration of Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity requirementsJob Qualifications - Education and Experience
        • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business or equivalent experience required
        • Minimum three years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
        • Microsoft Office knowledge intermediate to expert required
        • Experience with timekeeping and payroll preferred
        • PHR and / or SHRM - CP Certifications preferred
        • Must have superior communication skills and be a collaborative, team player
        • Must have a passion for continuous improvement
        • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
        • Must be able to work flexible work schedule as needed to support 24/ 7 operationPhysical RequirementsGeneral office environment requiring ability to:
          • Stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time
          • Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone
          • Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports
          • Lift up to 35 pounds without assistance
          • Work in noisy, dusty, and hot work environment
          • Work around various chemicals while in the manufacturing area
          • Ability to climb stairs
