We are a group of enthusiastic pet heroes who go beyond expectations at providing a personalized experience for all patient-guests and their parents. We currently provide dermatology, internal medicine, medical oncology, surgery, ophthalmology and emergency services. To improve the experience for our patients and help support our amazing doctors we are currently in the process of building an over 26,000 sq ft facility. Not only will this facility have all the advanced diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities (MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, chemotherapy etc---) it will also have a campus-like feeling for employees and clients with food trucks, childcare for staff, beer garden, and an upstairs balcony. -At the Veterinary Referral Center of Central Oregon, we believe that teamwork, superior patient and client care, education, and fun are the secret to a wonderful career. Job Description:

  • Implement and maintain HR procedures, policies and best practices
  • Help the organization hire, grow, scale, and retain exceptional people
  • Assist in and help develop our hospital collaboration group as needed
  • Assist, develop, and manage HR functions of our VetCadets Childcare and Beer Garden/Food Truck Court
  • Improve upon and build systems to ensure happy staff, career growth, and retention
  • Propose, improve upon, and lead programs that result in improved performance, career planning, and recognition programs
  • Provide leadership and training in areas such as conflict resolution, problem solving, and complaint resolution
  • Promote and instill the sense of culture that our organization has come accustomed to and make it even more amazing
  • Have a deep understanding and appreciation of every position within the organization
  • Hold employees accountable and create performance improvement plans where needed
  • Help employees understand and navigate the various benefits and perks the organization offers such as 401k, employee discounts, and healthcare. -
    Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of HRBP experience, preferably in a startup environment
    • Prior leadership experience and management of direct reports
    • BA/BS degree or the equivalent in experience
    • Expert knowledge of local employment law and HR best practices
    • Ability to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions
    • Self motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Proven track record of positively influencing teams and their leaders
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic, and constantly changing environment
    • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines.
