Roles & Responsibilities Provide compassionate labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum nursing care to birthing families Assess and monitor maternal and newborn status using evidence-based practices and fetal monitoring Perform newborn care and initial stabilization, collaborating closely with pediatrics when needed Participate in LDRP and GYN surgical care when required, supporting safe surgical outcomes Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care and safe discharge practices Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in the medical record Collaborate with physicians, midwives and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care Respond to emergencies calmly and effectively, using ACLS, PALS and team protocols Qualifications Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission Healthcare Provider BLS certification required AHA ACLS and PALS required for AGH LDRP practice NRP and STABLE strongly preferred Demonstrated skills in labor & delivery nursing, postpartum care and newborn care Comfort with LDRP and GYN surgical care practices Knowledge & Skills Strong labor and delivery assessment skills including fetal monitoring interpretation Newborn assessment and initial stabilization knowledge Postpartum care and lactation support fundamentals Experience with LDRP workflows and GYN surgical assistance Effective communication with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records Calm decision-making in high-acuity or emergency situations Benefits Generous housing stipend and travel reimbursement to make your stay comfortable Medical, dental & vision coverage so you and your family stay healthy Licensure assistance and reimbursement to keep your credentials current Paid time off to recharge between assignments Continuing education support and certification reimbursement to boost your career A supportive team that values YOU and emphasizes family-centered care Referral bonus program to reward you for bringing great teammates Professional development and mentorship opportunities to grow your skills Travel Perks: Explore Albany, OR Albany, Oregon sits in the beautiful Willamette Valley with a charming historic downtown, public art and an impressive local carousel and museum to explore.
