Location: Bend, Oregon Compensation: Salary range of $357,294 -
$374,308 per year , depending on experience At St. Charles Health
System , our OB/GYN Hospitalist team provides high-quality,
compassionate care for women and newborns across Central Oregon.
We’re seeking a dedicated Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN
Physician to join our Bend hospitalist group. This is an exciting
opportunity to practice full-spectrum obstetrics and gynecology in
a collaborative, mission-driven environment that values patient
safety, teamwork, and professional excellence. Why You’ll Love This
Role Comprehensive hospital-based practice: Serve as attending for
unassigned OB/GYN patients who present to the Family Birthing
Center or Emergency Department, and provide consultative and backup
coverage for community providers and Certified Nurse Midwives.
Collaborative team culture: Work side by side with highly skilled
obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and neonatal
specialists dedicated to delivering outstanding, family-centered
care. Meaningful work: Support women and families through labor,
delivery, and surgical interventions while managing a broad range
of inpatient and emergent gynecologic conditions. Your Schedule
12-hour shifts, with occasional consecutive 24-hour coverage as
needed Potential for backup call during high-census periods Primary
practice location: St. Charles Bend Hospital What You’ll Do Provide
24/7 OB/GYN hospitalist coverage, including admissions,
consultations, deliveries, and surgical management Serve as
attending for unassigned obstetric and gynecologic patients in the
Family Birthing Center or Emergency Department Perform cesarean
deliveries, assist community physicians when requested, and back up
the St. Charles Center for Women’s Health midwifery team Provide
OB/GYN consultations for inpatients, including psychiatric and
rehabilitation units when requested Document all care accurately
and promptly within the Epic EMR Participate in departmental
meetings, quality initiatives, and policy development Maintain
active hospital privileges and compliance with all SCHS medical
staff bylaws and policies What You’ll Bring MD or DO from an
accredited medical school Completion of an accredited OB/GYN
Residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (board
certification required within 7 years of residency completion)
Current or eligible Oregon medical license Unrestricted DEA and BLS
certification Eligibility to participate in Medicare/Medicaid and
other federal or state programs Strong communication, teamwork, and
problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Board Certification
in OB/GYN Experience working in a hospitalist or laborist model
