Job Title: Radiation Therapist Profession: Radiation Therapist Specialty: Cancer Services - Radiation Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year License: Oregon State license required Certifications: ARRT (T), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Completed a 24-month course in Radiologic Technology - Completed a 12-month course in Radiation Therapy - Experience with Elekta linear accelerators and Mosaiq record and verify software Description: The Radiation Therapist accurately delivers the prescribed course of radiation therapy with minimal supervision. They assist the physician and fellow caregivers in maintaining optimum care and treatment of the radiation therapy patient. The therapist works in conjunction with the staff to maintain efficient patient flow. They may occasionally perform routine tumor localizations, simulations, and treatment planning procedures. The role involves working with two linear accelerators and one stimulator. The dress code is scrubs. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday with some required on-call hours. The therapist will always work with another therapist. The position requires a strong dedication to patient care and teamwork.
