High Lakes Health Care - Sparks Lake, part of Praxis Health, is looking for a friendly and energetic Advanced Clinical Associate (ACA) with outstanding people skills to join our team.

The Advanced Clinical Associate (ACA) is an experienced Medical Assistant that looking for a leadership opportunity. The ACA works under the Clinic Supervisor to assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care throughout the clinic. The ACA works in an integrated primary care team model including Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, patient service representatives, medical assistants, social workers, behavioral health navigators, and clinic leadership to provide comprehensive patient-centered primary care.

As well as being able to adapt to change quickly. This individual likes to work individually, and team based. They are also passionate about patient care and being apart of helping change the direction of health care.

      Qualified candidates will have a collaborative, team spirit and a willingness to support the needs of our patients as well as the goals of the job and the team. In this role, you will work in collaboration with the healthcare team to assist physicians/providers in the delivery of exceptional patient care.

      Expectations:

      • Demonstrate the skills to provide age appropriate care to the patients of the clinic.
      • Demonstrate knowledge of the principals of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to interpret information relative to the patients age related needs.
      • Attendance and punctuality is necessary.
      • Ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team.
      • Ability to problem solve, and be self-motivated. Must have a commitment to excellence and high standards.
      • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills. Must have ability to multitask, manage priorities and workflow.
      • Required to have versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and have acute attention to detail.
      • Able to operate computer software with training.
      • Expected to have strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to understand and follow written/verbal instructions.
      • Required to have the ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
        Essential Job Functions:

        • Supports the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a medical assistant.
        • Assists in the supervision of work and performance of medical assistants
        • Assists the supervisors in training new and existing medical assistants
        • Supports direct clinical care including medication refill requests, chart prep, task management, order entry, and patient rooming flow.
        • Reviews charts and encounter forms for completeness and to assess follow up as needed.
        • Works collaboratively with clinic staff on programs to improve patient experience and patient outcomes.
        • Coordinate the inventory, ordering and supply stock maintenance of medical supplies
        • Assists with daily and monthly quality assurance reviews.
        • Directs task management between virtual RNs and in clinic medical assistants for provider care teams.
        • Assist and works with Supervisor on cross coverage of MA duties for vacations or call ins.
        • Reliable attendance and presence at work.
          Education and/or Experience:

          • College education, high school diploma, or equivalent.
          • Completion of medical assistant training program required.
          • Phlebotomy certification a plus.
          • Minimum of one year experience in an outpatient medical clinic or hospital, medical office setting.
            Other Requirements:

            • Current CPR certification preferred
            • Must possess current health records with the appropriate immunization to work in the health care field (Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis).

              • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
              • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch.
              • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
              • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, crawl, bend and twist as needed. Requires walking on non-level surfaces, inside and outside the office, throughout the day.
