Job Description:

Medix Infusion provides personalized home and in suite infusion therapy services for patients with chronic or acute conditions. Our expert team is dedicated to making each patient's journey as easy as possible. We provide medical infusion therapies, including anti-infectives, biologics, IVIG, and other injectable and infusion treatments.
Medix Infusion's Mission: To connect chronically ill and high-acuity patients with infusion therapy by providing convenient, compassionate care within rural, suburban, and other under-served communities.
We have a team-orientated career opportunity to join our company as a Full time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to take care of infusion medicine patients in our new Bend, OR clinic.Our employees share a common goal to provide outstanding quality health care solutions, while keeping the patients individual needs and comfort at the forefront. As a fundamental part of our patient safety and service program, our Certified MA's work closely with our physician, clinical staff, and management team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages.
  • Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections
  • Receive and enter data for new or current patient records and documentation.
  • Recording patients' vital signs, documenting physicians' notes and changes in medical conditions.
  • Contact team members and administrative employees to obtain and maintain current information according to Company policy and state and federal regulations.
  • Reschedule existing patients.
  • Collect patient copay's and process credit card payments.
  • Coordinate with the Intake/Insurance Authorization department.
  • Update schedules as changes occur and follow up with any identified deficiencies in the scheduling process.
  • Patient visit confirmation.
  • Ensure that the patient has proper labs/test/orders, etc. prior to infusion and enter info in the Lab Beacon.
  • Prepare pre-infusion check list criteria. Verify that patient is appropriate for their scheduled infusion.
  • Follow-up with referral source: requesting new orders, monitoring receipt of signed verbal orders, and follow-up communication.
  • Prepping exam rooms/area for infusions and assisting practitioners with patient care as needed.
  • Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention, and assistance during office visits.REASONS TO WORK AT MEDIX INFUSION

      QUALIFICATIONS
      • High school graduate or equivalent.
      • Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants.
      • Minimum one year experience as a Medical Assistant
      • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
      • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
      • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
