We partner with our customers to best leverage various technologies to achieve the best patient outcomes possible by implementing new hardware and software solutions, upgrading existing environments, protecting the data we store, and integrating different solutions to achieve a seamless experience. POSITION OVERVIEW: The IT Operations Manager at St. Charles Health System is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Information Technology Operational functions: business and technical systems design, acquisition and/or development, implementation and support; infrastructure design, acquisition, implementation, operation and maintenance; client service support; Project Management. The IT Operations Manager has direct responsibility for managing and maintaining St. Charles Health Systems Information Technology department systems and supporting technology domains (data centers, servers, Client services, operating systems, storage platforms, enterprise applications, and Telecommunications, AV, and WAN\LAN networks). This position directly manages Caregivers in the Information Technology department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Supervise the daily activities of 6 ? 12 internal technical experts that support twenty four-seven high availability environment. Coach, develop and evaluate caregivers to ensure efficient operation of the team. Provide technical support for systems installation, configuration, maintenance, implementation of processes and project management within IT. Assists with actively managing project plan, deliverables, dependencies, and outcome for selected project(s) as approved by management and key stakeholders. Apply Information Technology industry standard best practices for procedures and processes. Identify opportunities for process improvements, time reductions and efficiencies. Assist with developing and reporting key performance metrics and analysis Responsible for meeting the service delivery, service level agreements for St. Charles Health System customers. Establishes work flow guidelines for the team within area of responsibility to optimize utilization and availability of all information systems in accordance with high standards of quality control. Reporting system utilization/availability and performance. Measures against benchmarks for continuous improvement. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Ensures efficient operational coordination of services and directs integration of systems and processes. Ability to build and sustain positive, working relationships with key decision-makers and department managers. Ensures ongoing client satisfaction with Information Technology. Meets with functional user community on a regular basis to provide status reporting on work in progress, discuss outstanding issues, and prioritize work. Reports status to organizational management. Partners with the Management Team to develop and implement operational and strategic plans while ensuring continued effectiveness of the hospital campuses and affiliations. Ensures effective financial management with the ability to develop cost-effective solutions relating to staffing, resource allocation, budget development and management while meeting productivity goals. Participates in annual planning and budgeting process. Ensures the organization has positive working relationships with constituencies. Responsible for resource brokering assignments according to the priorities of St. Charles Health System and the Information Technology Department. Supports learning development programs as defined by the organizational development department. Support assumes that performance program dates are met as assigned and that performance programs (a) meet both the caregiver career plans and budget and staffing requirements and needs; (b) are tracked and updated with consistent communications between employee, manager, Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Human Resources; and (c) contain training plans that meet caregivers needs, departmental priorities and operating budget requirements. Ensures change plans are defined, communicated, and deployed per agreement with Director of IT, the Chief Technology Officer, (CTO), and the Chief Information Officer (CIO), and with impacted teams and individuals. Deploys plans that meet future needs as defined and agreed upon by the IT governance structure. Develops and manages disaster recovery plans for (focus area). Participates in product evaluations, vendor negotiations, and implementation of system and infrastructure as needed to ensure continuity of investment management. Directs contractors, subcontractors and vendors as required. Responsible for budget development, regular monitoring, accountability and meeting all operational targets for all areas within span of control Hires, directs, coaches and monitors the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high performance team that meets organizational and department goals Monitors and ensure all direct reports are current with compliance and safety requirements. Implements and manages all organizational safety directives and goals Provides and oversees team's delivery of customer service in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate. Collaborates with teams to review processes and identify/implement opportunities for improvements, applying Value Improvement Practice concepts and tools. Supports the vision, mission and values of the organization in all respects. Supports Value Improvement Practice (VIP- Lean) principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change. Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests. Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting the organization's corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violation of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all organizational investigations and proceedings. May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned. EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or other technology discipline, or a combination of education and experience that will enable performance of the full scope of the position Preferred: Masters Degree LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION Required: Valid Oregon driver's license and ability to meet St. Charles Health System's driving requirements. Ability to travel to business functions/trainings/meetings and all St. Charles Health System's worksites required. Preferred: Industry technical certifications (including project management certifications, MCSA, CCNA, CCA. MCITP [Database] or MCTS. EXPERIENCE Required: Minimum 8 years' experience, including 5 years of progressively responsible supervisory, roles supporting a medium-scale, multi-user, multi-application, multi-server environment. Dedicated project management experience using industry standard project management tools and techniques. Must have strong technical knowledge of data centers, servers & storage, and networking. Experience assigning resources, Prior experience with Microsoft Project and project management methodologies using industry standard tools and techniques. Preferred: N/A PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
