mission. The Remote Site Engineering Data Center team drives
design, defines budget, procurement, deployment and standardization
of corporate office networks in Meta Data Centers globally.Meta is
looking to expand its existing team focused on design and
deployments of the corporate network and office technology in our
growing datacenter regions. A Technical Domain Manager will have
responsibility to build relationships and processes while ensuring
success during planning, design, construction and handover phases
of Data Center builds globally. A successful candidate will help
develop and understand requirements from internal customers and
create solutions to improve productivity and services. A candidate
must have a technical as well as a project/program management
background, be innovative and agile, collaborate well in a team
environment, and have very strong communication skills - a
visionary who challenges the status quo and believes that
collaboration technologies can level-up productivity.
Data Center Technical Domain Manager, RSE Responsibilities:
Oversight across Corporate Network implementations in new and
existing datacenter regions
Oversight of project management and deployment of office network
technology in Data Center facilities
Drive alignment of Data Center network/office technology
milestones, tracking and reporting of data center projects, own
development and tracking of budgets, forecasts and actuals of data
center build projects for Enterprise Engineering
Find new efficiencies and process improvements in existing
workflows while anticipating and mitigating potential problems
Work with design, construction, and operations teams to identify
and remedy process gaps and issues
Analyze problems and devise solutions to roadblocks and unique
challenges across dozens of cities and countries
Manage highly cross-functional site infrastructure projects in a
matrix organization covering a range of areas (data center,
network, logistics, supply chain, compliance, legal, infrastructure
software engineering)
Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve
business practices and drive internal process improvements across
multiple teams and functions
Review operational issues and determine if a technology solution is
required or a process correction needs to be made
Conduct business process re-engineering reviews to innovate on
business processes and define ways to improve their efficiency and
effectiveness
Elicit detailed business requirements by engaging the business to
capture clear functional design artifacts using techniques like use
cases, data diagrams and process flow diagrams
Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design,
development, testing, implementation, and post implementation
phases
Perform risk management and change management on projects
Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects
and tasks
Work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to travel globally up to 30-40%
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. degree
5+ years experience in project or program management
4+ years experience in data center construction or operations
4+ years experience with network deployments and circuit
provisioning
4+ years experience with campus and enterprise networks and
hardware
Experience with low voltage cabling in a data center or
high-density campus environment
Experience with wireline telecommunications services such as
point-to-point, IP transit, and PRI/ERI
Demonstrated knowledge of campus networking philosophies, routing
and switching protocols
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven track record in delivery of high-visibility infrastructure
deployments
Demonstrated experience thinking strategically in areas that may be
outside of the candidate's domain expertise (logistics, finance,
complicated risk management, etc.)
Experienced working in cross-functional teams
