We will be pulling the first list of candidates on 12/09/19. This list may close any time after this date. The Oregon Military Department is recruiting for 4 Case Manager's. These are permanent full-time state position located at the Oregon Youth Challenge Program in Bend, Oregon. These positions is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees' (AFSCME) union. You are NOT required to be a member of the Oregon National Guard to for this position. NOTE: This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. What you will be doing: These positions are direct service case manager's supervising and monitoring approximately 50 cases of graduates. During the residential phase the Administrative Specialist 1 case manager assists cadets in CAP development, conducts mentor / mentee training and the Mentor Match Ceremony and assist with orientations. The Administrative Specialist 1 case manager coordinates reporting, validates data, develops resources and problem solves issues between mentors and mentees during the post residential period. Working Conditions: Occasional lifting and physical exertion is necessary to perform tasks and duties. Required to work various shifts; days, early evenings, weekends and some holidays; Subject to periodic overnight travel. Frequently comes in contact with cadets, parents and the general public. May be required to transport Cadets in State-owned vehicles. Extensive sitting, extensive computer work, extensive phone use, writing and documentation. Regular evening and weekend work is required. Work Experience The work experience section of your application must include a clear description of your experience in order to determine if you meet the required skills (minimum and special qualifications) and at what level you meet the requested skills. Your answers to supplemental questions about your specific experience must also be supported in the work experience statements in your application form or, if requested, your resume. Supplemental materials such as cover letters and/or a resume will NOT be reviewed or used to determine candidate's qualifications unless the posting specifically states those materials are required from applicants. Work experience is based on a 40-hour work week. (Example: 20 hours a week for one year would equal six-months of work experience.) What you need to qualify: Three (3) years of clerical/secretarial experience that included: Two (2) years at a full performance level performing typing, word processing, or other generation of documents; - AND- Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures. NOTE: Courses or training in Office Occupations or Office Technology may be substituted for up to one year of the clerical/secretarial experience. NO substitution will be made for the two (2) years at the full performance level. ITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possess a valid driver license; Pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check. Conditions of Employment: Must obtain (within 6 months of hire) and maintain a CPR/First Aid Certification; Employee is required to maintain a drug/alcohol free workplace in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Requested Skills: Excellent phone skills and communication skills; Experience in data entry and creating reports; Experience with Microsoft Office, to include Excel, Outlook and Word.
