THE ROLE Have you wanted an opportunity to manufacture electric propulsion systems for an advanced satellite constellation? The Propulsion Manufacturing Engineer will develop, implement and refine processes used to fabricate and qualify electric propulsion systems. You will mentor colleagues within the team. Key job responsibilities - Support architecture determination and designing the propulsion system configuration - Provide input into designs to enhance manufacturability and reduce costs - Develop and own inspection, manufacturing, qualification and acceptance tests including hardware and workflow design - Design and carry out process development tests - Process and interpret assembly and test results to generate design guidance. - Coordinate with other Amazon Leo team members to establish a path towards volume production. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - 6 years supporting production in a manufacturing capacity or related field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience with the project management of technical projects Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
