SUMMARY The Crewmember travels to various job sites to perform
pavement maintenance services. This role is responsible for
completing tasks such as sealing pavement cracks, applying surface
treatments, and installing pavement markings on parking lots,
roadways, and airport surfaces. Crewmembers operate a variety of
specialized tools and equipment and are responsible for proper
operation, basic maintenance, and care of assigned equipment. Most
projects performed in this role are prevailing wage jobs and
require adherence to applicable standards and reporting
requirements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES [TRAVEL, SUPERVISORY
EXPECTATION, ETC.] ·Report to the Foreman and Crew Leaders for
daily tasks, assignments, and direction ·Work collaboratively with
crew members to achieve daily production goals and project
objectives ·Complete assigned tasks safely, on time, and in
accordance with project specifications ·Clean, prepare, and seal
cracks and joints in asphalt and concrete surfaces ·Apply sealers
and surface treatments to asphalt and concrete pavement ·Install
pavement markings and perform pavement marking removal as required
·Assist with and perform traffic control operations when needed
·Operate walk-behind striping carts, marking removal scarifiers,
crack routers, air compressors, crack sealers, and other related
equipment ·Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic
troubleshooting on tools and equipment used on all jobs
·Participate in multiple pavement maintenance trades, including:
oPavement marking and marking removal oCrack Sealing oFog sealing
oJoint sawing and sealing oAsphalt and concrete repairs on
airports, roadways, and parking lots ·Follow all safety policies,
procedures, and PPE requirements at all times ·All other tasks and
duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILTIES ·Knowledge of
construction industry processes and standards ·Communication,
active listening and speaking skills ·Ability to diagnose problems
and apply problem-solving skills ·Attention to detail and
organizational skills ·Ability to adapt and be flexible ·Ability to
act in a professional manner and represent the company well
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ·Minimum of 1 year experience in
pavement construction is preferred ·Striping and painting
experience is preferred ·Required to learn business trades,
equipment, regulations, traffic control and all other aspects of
pavement construction ·Driver’s License Required ·Flagger
Certification Required; company paid training if necessary WORK
ENVIRONMENT [INCLUDES WORK HOURS, WORK SETTING, TRAVEL, ETC.]
·Travel required 100% of the time; will have the option to travel
with other team members in company-owned vehicles from Bend, OR to
project site [WA, CA, OR, ID, MT, NV, UT, WY, and other states]
·Work hours vary depending on the project and location of the
project but 40 hours; typically, Sunday-Friday ·Seasonal hourly
position that is typically March-November but can vary depending on
weather and other project demands ·Position requires working
outdoors from March through November in a construction environment
with exposure to varying temperatures, weather conditions, and
typical job site hazards ·Perform general labor tasks, including
pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying tools, materials, and
equipment as required ·Paid weekly; base compensation paid if the
job is not subject to prevailing wage; prevailing wages will be
posted at all jobs subject to prevailing wage rate C.R Contracting
