SummaryThis position typically provides general receptionist, secretarial, bookkeeping, and administrative support to the staff by handling information requests and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, processing paperwork and other matters of similar complexity. The position exercises considerable independence of action in routine administrative matters, which might involve handling proprietary and private information. The incumbent must have a thorough knowledge of confidential record keeping, proper English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and basic math skills.Essential Job FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.1. Must answer the telephone and in-person questions in a professional and polite manner.3. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and paper cutters. Golf cart transportation is sometimes required.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, walk, lift up to 20lbs, use hands, reach, twist, and bend. Duties may require the employee to work outdoors in the summer heat, with breaks as needed. Duties will expose the employee to livestock and livestock-related allergens such as hay.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a part-time, temporary position that begins June 3rd of 2024, and ends August 11th of 2024. Working hours will be light at the beginning of the job (around 5 hours per week), and will increase, peaking at 25 hours for the week of (August 5-11). hours of work may change unexpectedly.TravelOccasional travel is expected. Employee will drive a vehicle for off-site duties and will operate a golf cart for on-site duties.Required Education and Experience High School Graduate or equivalent In addition to experience listed above, minimum 1 year experience in an office environment with secretarial/administrative responsibilities, and minimum 1 year experience working in special events, volunteerism.Additional Eligibility Requirements Able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check. Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (not required for all positions).
