We strive to be best-in-class in everything we do, from leading the industry in knowledge, innovation and performance, through the customer purchasing experience, vehicle production and customer service.As EarthCruiser continues to rapidly grow to meet increased customer demand, we seek an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily operations of the accounting department.
You will be part of the EarthCruiser Leadership Team and report directly to the CFO. This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a world class overland expedition company dedicated to building the most capable vehicles on the planet and providing our community the ability to travel without barriers.
As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for planning, performing, and managing multiple accounting, financial, and budgetary functions. You will direct and manage EarthCruisers day to day cash flow, and generate regular reports to keep management informed of financial heath and progress toward financial goals.
Your roles and responsibilities will include: Manage detailed cash forecast and present to senior managementManage fixed assets and depreciation schedulePrepare all financial statements in compliance with GAAP, including income statements, balance sheets, and governmental agency reportsCompare sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgetsReview planning process and suggest improvements to current methodsManage accounting proceduresManage the accounting related function of the companys ERP system, cost accounting functions, and other financial analysisEnsure inventories are properly stated and reconciledProviding the companys tax preparers with requested data and reports in connection with the annual tax filingsCreate and update spreadsheets of daily transactionsManage billing, accounts receivable, and timely collection of outstanding invoicesOversee the accounts payable process and ensure all payments are made for materials/services received and pursuant to PO terms and conditions.Ensure timely communication with vendors on payment statusOversee timecard collection and payroll processingOversee and reconcile monthly the use of company debit and credit cardsEnsure bank accounts and general ledger accounts are maintained and reconciled regularlyReview and process employee and vendor reimbursements ensuring proper documentation and justificationMaintain reports on financial metrics, including investments, return on assets and growth ratesManage companys liabilities including regular loan paymentsIdentify and address account discrepancies, proved concise explanations on variancesOrganize workflow to meet specifications and deadlinesPrepares governmental compliance reportsSubmit reports, summaries, and plans as required Perform a variety of complicated tasks, as required
Basic Qualifications:Honesty and integrityBachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance Four to six years of experience in financial management required, experience in a manufacturing business strongly preferredExcellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsEffective time-management with keen ability to multitaskExcellent organizational skillsStrong decision-making skills and a results-driven approachHands-on experience with accounting software, like QuickBooks. Experience with JobBoss software preferredAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)Demonstrated willingness to work with others in a team environmentPositive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goalPreferred Qualifications:Certified Public Accountant designation
